Welcome to the Muskingum County Library System
This session, the second in a four-part series, will focus on the role of school and health (mental and physical) in establishing a healthier community.
Session Two Information:
-This session will focus on the historical and current role of schools and health departments in meeting the demands of diversity and addressing racism. Guest speakers from the schools and health departments will address responses to COVID-19, diversity, and racism. Participants will have an opportunity to share their thoughts and feelings relative to the presented information.
Participants are asked to register. On the day of the event, they will receive an email with information on how to join us via Zoom.

Series Information:
Join the Muskingum County Library System, Nelson T. Gant Foundation, the United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan Counties, and The Muskingum County Community Foundation for a community conversation on race. Starting on Thursday July 23 and continuing for the next three Thursday evenings, these interactive sessions will create a space to allow for dialogue and discussion to help our community understand the issues around race relations in the United States and here at home. The goal of the sessions is to create an atmosphere of respect and comfort while asking attendees to challenge the way they think about the world we live in. Each week will feature speakers in education, law enforcement, social needs, and inadequacies in our community due to the COVID-19 pandemic as well as offer break out rooms for more in-depth discussion. The sessions will be free and open to the public via Zoom.
